Protocols: Chaste Tree (Vitex Agnuscastus L)

Psychoactive

Description: Tree found in Mediterranean and central Asia. Used medicinally since the times of ancient Greece and Rome.

Method of Action: Mechanism of action likely involves modulating the prolactin axis. Affinity for Dl and D2 dopamine receptors has been reported in the literature.

Indications and Usage: Used to treat symptoms of premenstrual syndrome, mastodynia, menopause, hyperprolactinemia and menstrual irregularity.

Contraindications: Do not use this product if you are pregnant or lactating.

Dosage and Administration: 30-40 mg of the drug daily.

Clinical Effect In: Information Unavailable
