Protocols: Negative Ion Therapy

Description: Negative ions (a group of 4 - 12 gaseous molecules clustered around a electrically charged atom or molecule of gas) are generated by energy acting on a molecule resulting in ejection of electron. Displaced electron attaches to nearby molecule which then becomes negative ion. Negative ions are highly mobile do not remain in an environment long once the source is removed.

Method of Action: May stimulate increase in brain serotonin levels. Promote alpha brain waves and increase brain wave amplitude. Increase oxygen utilization by body.

Negative ion generator should be placed at least 35 inches from walls and away from electronic devices, ventilation ducts or grounded surfaces. Windows and doors should be kept closed in immediate area during treatment session. Breath slowly through nose during as much of treatment as possible. Environmental air ion levels vary greatly from over 2,000 per cm3 by the seashore to 10 per cm3 in cities. Negative ions are most prevalent in areas around moving water, pine trees, and asparagus ferns. The VI-2000 generator units used in the most recent research studies can be purchased through IonAir Company 1-800-706-3724
